Haunted: How to Relieve Anxiety with EFT Tapping S.3 Ep.10

Empath & The Narcissist Book Excerpt and EFT Tapping practice for Patreon Library

I woke in the dead of night with a sudden, uneasy feeling. I felt someone staring at me. I looked over to the source and it was a dark shadow figure standing in the corner.”

I am Raven Scott, and today, on the weekend we do things a little different around her. It’s time to slow down and to practice meditation and healing exercises. Today I am sharing with you an exerpt from my book Empath & The Narcissist and my favorite practice to reduce stress and anxiety. EFT Tapping.

I panicked, and turned the light on immediately knowing it was not a kind visit. The shadow disappeared. I pulled my Bible out, that I read at the time, and eased my nerves reading the soothing words. I then was able to fall asleep. This happened a couple times. I can’t know why, who exactly it was, but my sense was it was the darkness that was attached to Lance, my x, that was pulling me into the vortex. I cam to visit me, in its last ditch efforts to control me. I believe in ghosts, spiritual energetic entities good and bad. I believe there are entities beyond our existence that exist in the spirit realm. I had never believed it before that night, and since then I’ve done extensive research on this topic and have a solid belief that the solid shadow was not a person but an energy entity haunting me.

To this day those nights right after escaping my x’s grasp, are bone chilling and forever burned into my memory. Thankfully Lance never chased me or confronted me, but he knew where I moved to by hacking into my email.

“As I entered a new relationship soon after, I was haunted in a new way – emotional haunting. I would compare my new boyfriend’s actions against the only man I knew and accuse hime of the same actions or motives of Lance, knowing only emotional abuse. When in reality, this new boyfriend was far from the type of man Lance was. But I was so conditioned in the past relationship to please him, relate in unhealthy ways that took a toll on my soul and our relationship.

I was his drowning in mental rollercoaster with my x. The lies, manipulation, sleep deprivation, depression that led to alcoholism, anxiety, always walking on egg shells with my words and actions, being a sex slave, constantly fearing when he would get mad next, and at one point I believed I would rather die than continue on without his love and affection and in that abusive cycle.

In my new relationship we fell in love fast and got married after a couple of years. The ripple of emotional abuse I had endured did not go away over night. It continued to affect me and our new marriage with a newborn baby. We went to a bootcamp for couples, and I was so upset at myself for my mistake I made for falling for Lance, I had not forgiven myself, I was scared I was echoing the patterns in my new relationship, and I was. Another form of haunting I experienced was PTSD. The American Psychology Association describes Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as a psychiatric disorder that can occur in people who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event.

PTSD is anxiety and flashbacks of a traumatic event or series of events that can be triggered by small or obvious things. I can affect a person’s ability to work and perform normal day’s activities. It prevents one from relating to their family and friends. And a person with PTSD often seem disinterested or distant as they try not to think or feel in order to block out the painful memories.

This disorder is characterized by 3 main types of symptoms, flashbacks and nightmares, emotional numbness, and avoidance of places, people and activities that are all reminders of trauma.

In my instance it was nightmares and flashbacks that led to meltdowns of releasing the pain through crying, and feeling like my body is sick and nauseous. I experienced a feeling of being pulled like an elastic band rhythmically.

While PTSD sucks and takes years to eradicate, the good news is there is a solution to releasing and healing PTSD.

  1. Building happy and healthy memories is a great way to start.
  2. EFT Tapping we will practice today
  3. Get in touch with nature, water, animal therapy.
  4. EMDR Therapy, which is the left, right ,left, right movement of the brain. It is done by a professional to help you revisit the painful memories and rewrite your neural pathways. A quick and free way to utilize EMDR is to walk. The left right pacing calms you nervous system and allows you to release the negative energy through exertion.

I recommend doing this practice daily for 28 days for the initial healing process. And as a maintenance there after once a week and then once a month.

*I am not a licensed therapist and am only recommending this practice regimen based off personal experience. Consult your therapist for your correct amount.

This practice is key to do for all your loved ones around as you process and heal from your narcissist or toxic person in your life. When we bottle our pain up, we tend to take it out on the ones we love the most. And we feel such remorse after we’ve yelled at them. This practice removes all of the anxiety, anger, and snapping at loved ones if done regularly. .

This EFT tapping therapy is extremely effective if you concentrate and lean into feeling and talking your way through your anxiety while honoring your acupressure points and tapping them lovingly.
